The answer is God chose his people because he set his love on them. And then if we ask the question, well, why did he set his love on them? And the answer is it's love all the way down. And there is no getting to the back of it. There's no getting before it. This is the everlasting love with which God has loved his people. And I think Sam, you quoted recently, God won't ever stop loving us

because he never started. Didn't you, didn't you say that in a previous episode?

Well, guys, the last few episodes, we've talked through Deuteronomy chapter four and Deuteronomy five, or was it

Deuteronomy four and five and six? Do you remember? Do you remember? Four and then five and five. That's right. Five

was really fast. So we did four and then five and six. And in those conversations, we covered Israel's

need for a new heart. And then last episode, Jim walked us very slowly through all of Deuteronomy chapter 6th and we talked about the necessity for for god's people

to pass down God's word you know to their children or to all those people around us if you for some

reason didn't listen to that I highly encourage you to go back it was a I would say an unusually

encouraging episode today we're going to pick up the pace and we're going to double we're not just

going to cover one chapter we're going to cover two chapters, Deuteronomy, Chapter 7 and Chapter 8. So before we get into the flow of thought and the specifics

of these two chapters, just remind us for the listeners where we are in the book of Deuteronomy.
