You know, in this episode that we've just been talking about after the Lord spoke the Ten Commandments, the people were afraid of God and they feared the Lord continuing to speak them.

And I think it's interesting that this connection between the Lord speaking the commandments and the people being afraid.

And now Moses says here in 6-1 and 2, this is the commandment that Yahweh your God commanded me to teach you.

So guys, last week, we planned to talk about Deuteronomy 4 and 5.

Our plan failed.

We only talked about Deuteronomy chapter 4, but it was a wonderful

conversation. We discussed the danger of idolatry, which is kind of Moses's main point when he's

talking to them. We discussed the necessity of listening to God's word. We discussed Roman Catholic

relics and iconography. We discussed whether the chosen is sinful. The show, you know, familiar with that.

And all of this fell under the category, Jim, I think I'm remembering this correctly,

of covenant motivation, right?

That's the sort of, that's the umbrella term of what's going on in Deuteronomy chapter four.

Not only Deuteronomy chapter four, but that's what we were talking about.

Moses was giving the people motivations to obey the covenant, correct?

That is correct.
