Hi, I'm Jessica Porter, and welcome back to sleep magic, a podcast where I help you find the magic of your own mind, helping you to sleep better and live better.

0:24.2

Hi, everybody. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you for taking your own health and wellness and

0:34.5

sleep. I don't use the word seriously. it's so heavy, but thank you for being

0:41.2

intentional about it. Thank you for being intentional about using your mind, because that's what we're

0:50.3

all learning how to do. So thank you for being here, for doing this, spreading the

0:57.0

word, and just being part of this experience with me. So tonight, detaching from our worries.

1:19.4

familiar pattern. So, obviously we have concerns about our lives, about the people we love, about the world at large,

2:00.5

even when you're trying to rest.

2:03.2

And of course, that makes it much harder to sleep.

2:07.9

So I want to pause here for a moment because there's something important to understand,

2:11.5

which is that worrying is not the same as caring.

2:17.6

It's completely natural to care.

2:20.4

Of course it is.

2:21.7

But it's also possible to care deeply

2:24.3

without getting tied up in that constant state of tension.
