It's Monday, June 1st. Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

Number one. The War with Iran has entered its fourth month. A ceasefire has technically been in

effect since early April. but over the past week

there has been a marked escalation in violence. Iran shot down an American drone this weekend,

and the U.S. this morning said it had bombed an Iranian radar and drone control site. Despite the fresh attacks, both sides say they're

still negotiating for a more permanent peace. In an interview on his daughter-in-law,

Lara Trump's show on Fox News yesterday, President Trump again insisted he was in no hurry to

reach a deal. So we're getting what we want slowly, very tough negotiators.

It takes a long time.

I'm in no hurry.

I'd like to say I'm in a hurry because, you know, gasoline prices are going to come tumbling down.

But if you're going to be in a hurry, you're not going to make a good deal.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said yesterday that it had captured a strategic mountaintop

crusader-built castle in southern Lebanon.

It's Israel's deepest incursion into Lebanon

in more than a quarter century.

The Post published its latest ranking of potential Democratic presidential contenders.
