All right, let's get right to it. I'm really looking forward to what the Lord has for us today,

both in our time together in His Word, in 2 Corinthians, and as well the prophecy update.

But today we're going to pick it up where we left off last week. We're in chapter 10,

and our text will be verses 7 through 12. You can turn there at this time if you're not there

already. And once you do, you can stand if you're able and follow along as I read. The Apostle

Paul writing to the church in Corinth, verse 7 says, you are judging by appearances. If anyone is confident that they belong to

Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do. So, even if I

boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave

us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it. I do not want to seem

to be trying to frighten you with my letters. For some say, his letters are weighty and forceful.

That's kind of an understatement. But in person, get this, he is unimpressive and his speaking

amounts to nothing. Or as one translation renders it, it is, I forgot the word, but we'll get to it.

Verse 11, such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent,

we will be in our actions when we are present. We do not dare

verse 12 to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves when they measure

themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

We'll ask God's blessing on our understanding if you would join with me.

Loving Heavenly Father, will you at this time

settle and quiet our hearts that we might hear that still small,

refining voice of the Holy Spirit as you speak into our lives?
