It wasn't always pretty, not just on Thursday night at Iowa, but for the duration of Michigan's now flawless road season.

Michigan becomes the first team since a team that won every single one of its games, the 1976 national champion Indiana Hoosiers,

to win every single game in a true road environment.

And Michigan did it like they have some games this season in nail-biting

down-to-the-wire fashion, just like in that turnover fest at TCU, or in a game, they probably

should have lost at Penn State or some of those uneven performances on the road out west against

Washington and Oregon. Yet Michigan kept finding a way, and this is an accomplishment that will stand forever.

Michigan still has plenty of work to do, and they hope to accomplish a lot more over the next

one month and one day to the national championship game.

But forever, this team, which Yaxel Lendaborg has said, he wants to be the best Michigan

team ever, they will be able to

always hang their hat on the fact that they were undefeated in true road games. And it was not easy.

They went to Breslin, to Mackie, to State Farm Center, out west in this new look, expanded 18-Team Big Ten,

and they found a way to get it done. Michigan has a chance

to join the likes of Navy, Bethune

Cookman, maybe Liberty

and maybe Florida as teams to

win their leagues by four

games or more. Michigan

controls its fate. Win on

Sunday against Michigan State and indeed

it will be a 19 and 1 showing,
