Okay. We are here today with Matt Schlapp, who is obviously about to launch a hugely successful CPAC weekend, but he's also the author of a new book with Deal W. Hudson called The Desecators, which really taps into a lot of what will be

the theme at CPAC this weekend in terms of what's happening in the country. And the subtitle of the book

is defeating the cancel culture mob and reclaiming one nation under God, which I think really says a lot

about the motivation of Matt Schlapp and of his wife

Mercedes as they continue to try to turn things around in the country. So Matt, welcome. It's great

to have you with us. Obviously, there's a lot going on in the world and a lot going on where you are.

So thanks for making time for the Untold Story podcast today.

I love it. Martha, I think you know, Mercy and I have great respect for you and the work you do.

It's tough to be a journalist, I think, in this day and age, and we appreciate the fact that you always try to get it right.

And I also appreciate the fact that you can understand why somebody like me is so distressed about what's going on in our country

for the last couple years. You know, and I want to, I want to start there, actually, because I thought

that the introduction to your book is very powerful about what made you decide to write it. And

Mercy writes the introduction or the forward here. And it's,

it's really beautifully done about how difficult in many ways the past couple of years have been

for you. And you've been, you know, fighting battles that have been tough to fight and have

had some blowback at times for that. So why don't you tell me a little bit about

the motivation for writing this book? Well, first of all, you know, I do have a co-author,

but it's really not accurate because Mercy played a really big role in all this because
