Down in Alabama, law enforcement responded to a home for a reported shooting.

There, they found a woman in critical condition and

her boyfriend dead. In Washington, police were notified that a man sleeping on a bus in Seattle

was believed to be the killer of a metro bus driver just days before. In Minnesota, police received

a call about a theft at a home. Just a short while later, they received a call about a woman suffering from a gunshot injury.

And in Oregon, a man was arrested in connection to the death of his much older girlfriend.

At around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18th, police and Leeds, Alabama responded to a mobile home on the 700 block of Morgan Street in response

to a reported shooting. When officers arrived at the home, they found a man dead from an apparent

gunshot wound and a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. The female victim was then

transported to UAB Hospital for emergency treatment. However, her status at the time of this

writing is not known.

The victim who was pronounced dead at the scene was later identified as 25-year-old Luis

Herrera Valenciana. While officers were still unseen, they learned that the alleged shooter was

still on the property. He was detained at that time for further questioning.

The suspect in the case was later identified as 40-year-old Charles Bryant.

Now, during the investigation, law enforcement learned that Charles was the legal husband of the female victim and that Luis was the current boyfriend of the female victim.
