In Nevada, law enforcement responded to a home for a reported stabbing.

The suspect then led investigators on a 30-plus-hour manhunt.

Over in Maine, a woman showed up at a sheriff's office in a neighboring county

and informed them of an incident at her home, roughly 50 miles away.

And in West Virginia, firefighters responded to a structure fire at a home

and found two bodies in the rubble.

At around 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18th, law enforcement in Fernley, Nevada,

responded to a home on the 3,100 block of Farm District Road for a reported stabbing incident.

When first responders arrived on the scene and at the home in question, they found an adult

male and an adult female suffering from

sharp force injuries. Paramedics worked to provide life-saving measures at the scene, but sadly, the male

victim, only identified as a 73-year-old man, died at the scene. The female victim, his 61-year-old

wife, was then taken to a local area hospital and at the time of

this writing is expected to survive now fairly quickly homicide investigators

with the Lyon County Sheriff's office identified the potential suspect in the case

as the couple's adopted son 19-year-old Adam Elijah Miller early on in the

investigation investigators had received surveillance footage from a neighbor's home that showed an individual believed to be Adam, running away from his home after the alleged stabbing's occurred.
