In Pennsylvania, police responded to a home for a reported break-in and found a young man shot

and his mother in critical condition.

In Missouri, a young man traveling home from a hockey game with his father was struck by a stray bullet and later died from his injuries.

And in South Carolina, a young woman with dreams of becoming a nurse was found dead in a burned-out car.

All of this coming at you right now.

Here, on Sword and Scale Daily. On Sunday, December 8th at around 2 a.m., police in Lower Marion Township, Pennsylvania,

responded to a home for a reported home invasion.

The reporting party was the homeowner, who stated that two men had broken into her home and shot her.

When responding officers arrived on the scene, they found the reporting party in critical condition

and a young man dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victims were later identified as 61-year-old Bernadette Godio and her son, 25-year-old

Andrew Goddio. When officers were speaking

with Bernadette, they learned that shortly after the intruders broke into her home, her son

Andrew came out to protect her, but the assailants fired at him, effectively striking and killing

him. The intruders then fired at Bernadette, however she fought to live, despite the critical

She couldn't move. That's when Bernadette utilized the Siri function on her iPhone to call 911.
