In Illinois, a man is indicted for murder stemming from an incident last month.

In Oregon, sheriff's deputies respond to an apartment for a welfare check and find a man in his teenage daughter dead.

And over in Ohio, police responded to an alleyway in Columbus after receiving reports of a man lying in a pool of blood.

At around 5.33 p.m. on Sunday, November 17th, officers in Barrington, Illinois responded to a home on the 400 block of West Russell Street after a man called and reported being attacked in his house.

When responding officers arrived at the home in question, they encountered 46-year-old William Zientek.

Officers then made their way into the home and inside.

They discovered a woman dead

from what appeared to be a combination of a brutal assault and a gunshot wound. The victim was

later identified as 42-year-old Dr. Olga Dushan. Officers detained William for further questioning

and homicide investigators were called to the scene. When investigators

arrived and started going through the inside of the home where the victim was found, they located

some crucial pieces of evidence, including a 9mm handgun, a spent shell casing near the victim's

body, a baseball bat that was covered in blood, and a backpack that contained 9 millimeter

ammunition and an empty handgun holster.

During a conversation with William, he told investigators that the victim, Dr. Douchon,

had shown up at his house to speak with him about custody of their three-year-old daughter.
