It's official. We learned on Tuesday night why Democrats do not like to debate Republicans

and why they have so much in this election cycle run for the hills when it comes to getting on a podium, getting on a stage, and discussing the actual issues in any given race.

We saw this most dramatically in Pennsylvania with Federman and Oz. That's where we will lead in just a moment.

But it also happened in New York with Hockel and Zelda running for governor and in

Michigan with Tudor Dixon and Gretchen Whitmer as they squared off in something that didn't look

very close to me either. The important thing before we get started and break down exactly what

happens in these debates is not the entire debate.

It's not the number of people who sit and watch the entire thing for an hour or 90 minutes

or however long the debate is. That's not what wins the debate. What wins the debate is after

the debate. What line sticks? What do you know about the DeSantis Chris debate? You remember

him turning to him after Chris

challenged him about wanting to run against Joe Biden in 2024. DeSantis had a line ready and

turned to Chris and said the only old donkey I want to put out to pasture is Charlie Christ.

And it was a fantastic answer. And it's all anybody is going to remember from the Florida

governor's debate. Well, there were so many in the Federman Oz debate, it's hard to pick one.

But again, let's remember it's 2022. It's not in 1982. And the way CNN or MSNBC or the New York

Times or some of these liberal outlets handle things like this

doesn't have the impact anymore. We've talked many times. And the reason I talk about these

numbers, how the Kansas City Star used to put out 550,000 papers on a Sunday, and they're
