Summary

KC  Mayor Quinton Lucas must be a magician.  How else can he show you all the shiny little things that don't matter in one hand and hide the really, really bad stuff in the other?  Hey, look, we are soccer town USA with a sweet ladies team and have free bus rides, Mayor Q will tweet for all to see.   Oh, a new report shows KC has the highest increase in murder rate in America?  I can already predict his response or write it for him.  He'll say, "crime is up everywhere and we are taking it very seriously and working hard to bring it down.  But what we are experiencing is happening everywhere."  Ok, well, apparently not.     Meanwhile, lunatic liberal lockdown Laura in Kansas has a drag show problem on her hands.  Seems she's on the hook for using tax dollars to support community shows with "explicit sexual content" for children of all ages.  Derek Schmidt has an issue to pounce on, let's see if he does it.     Barack Obama was on the Mannincast for Monday Night Football and it has a lot of people buzzing.  Teams all over the NFL have big QB problems right now, remember when that used to be a thing in KC?  And Jim Nantz is saying goodbye to college basketball.... March Madness won't be the same.

0:51.9

For number one in America, this is increase in murder rate. This is not

0:54.7

total murders. Obviously, this is a per capita percentage of increase. And under Mayor Quentin

1:02.8

Lucas, we have now reached number one in America with the highest increase in murder rate. We

1:06.9

hear a lot about places like New York, New Orleans, Philadelphia. We've seen crime in Baltimore.

1:12.8

A lot of other places. Well, just know this, that relative to how many people live in your

1:18.8

community and relative to how safe it once was, we now lead the nation in the number one

1:25.3

increase in murder rate. But Mayor Q has had no response to this.

1:31.0

The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department was asked for a statement by local media to respond to

1:37.5

this. And their response was, we haven't seen that report. We're working hard every day. And I don't

1:41.8

doubt that the police are working hard every day. What I doubt is the people in charge are backing the police in Kansas City, Missouri, that we are

1:49.3

locking people up, that criminals are out there afraid that they're going to go to jail for life.

1:54.2

There is simply no disincentive to crime at this point.

1:58.7
