intimate relationship. Today we are addressing a topic that paints a lot of marriages. Today we are

talking about the lazy spouse. When your spouse is being lazy, it affects a lot of things.

It adds frustration in your home. It can make you less attracted to your spouse,

and it makes your load and life harder. Worst of all, it can really turn into a ton of resentment.

So today we're going to discuss this issue, how to work towards healthier balance in your marriage.

So Dr. Kim, how many couples do you think have this issue in their marriage, a lazy spouse?

That's such a good question. And I can put it in two categories. I think some people think

their spouse is lazy and it may be just because of their expectations. Maybe they came,

you know, and we were talking a little bit before the show. It seems to me that usually the lazy

spouse category guys fall into that. I can only think of one woman the whole time of counseling

that really that became the issue. And so I think only think of one woman the whole time of counseling that really that became the

issue. And so I think sometimes it is because maybe the woman grew up in, the wife grew up in a home and the dad was just to go get her. He did things. He set a really high standard. She marries a guy that maybe in quite as motivated. Doesn't mean he's lazy. They made up quite as motivated as that. And then there's

the guys that are just lazy. You know, they don't do the things that they're supposed to do as a

husband, like provide, like work, like help around the house, do some of the things that, you know,

and I know women can, women can move on. I get that. Women can do all that kind of stuff.

But for me, I wanted to do the things that Nancy didn't want to do in addition to some other things. And, you know, I didn't want them on the lawn.

I wanted to mow the lawn.
