Summary

This week we continue with the second set from the Grateful Dead's final show at the Fillmore West on July 2, 1971

This starts out with an unusual 'Sugar Magnolia' opener, going into a sweet 'Sing Me Back Home'.. after a short "Mama Tried' we are thrown into a whirlwind with a great 'Cryptical>Drums>Other One', with the Other One being dedicated to Owsley who was incarcerated at the time.. while this is perhaps the highlight of this set, the closing 'Not Fade Away>Going Down the Road>Not Fade Away' shows the band at their rocking best. Jerry prefaces the 'Johnny B Goode' encore with a 'Here's the one it's all about' :)

This week we're going to continue with the second set from the band's performance during the week that the Fillmore West was closing, July the 2nd, 1971. It was a Friday. This was the last performance by the dead at that legendary venue. And it was quite a good one.
0:21.6	They started out with an unusual opener for the second set, Sugar Magnolia,
0:25.6	into a beautiful Sing Me Back Home.
0:27.6	Mama Tried follows, and then really the heart of this second set in some ways.
0:32.6	A great cryptical into drums and then into the other one. The other one's dedicated to Owsie, who was incarcerated at the time.
0:41.7	Big Boss Man follows Casey Jones.
0:44.0	Then they rock it out with not fade away going down the road feeling bad,
0:47.8	into a little jam, into a not fade away,
0:50.1	and come back with a great encore, which actually made it into that movie, Johnny Be Good.
