This is a professor, so glad you could pick us up this week.

I know I said I probably wouldn't be here this week, but things are going well enough

that I'll be able to provide the audio commentary here for a short bit and provide the music

for this week's Deadpod.

So I'm so glad you could pick me up, pick us up this week.

This week I want to bring you a show from a show from the summer tour of 1990.

This one took place on July 21st, 1990, at the World Music Theater, Tenley Park, Illinois.

Of course, that's the night before the last show of Brent Midland's tenure with

the band when he sadly passed away after that. But an interesting show, nice recording,

and I think it's worth digging out and listening to. First set starts out with kind of

standard touch of gray opener into a really hot greatest story ever told told. Jackaro Fowell's Walkin Blues.

Friend of the Devil features a nice Brent solo in there.

It's really nice.

Just a little light, one of my favorite Brent tunes,

Queen Jane approximately, and some great jazzy conclusion to the first set with a nice

bird song.

It's very nicely done, very jazzy and interesting improvisation
