Summary

As we head into the New Year, here's a January show, a rarity for the band, from the intimate Uptown Theater in Chicago on January 30th, 1978.

While this first set doesn't have the jamming that you'll hear in set 2, it is tight and Jerry's voice is much better than it was earlier in the month. There is some funny back and forth between songs, and the Lazy Lightning is greatly improved by Phil's contributions.

0:07.0	As you may know, there's a Darth of Redwood that shows in January of any year.
0:13.8	But this is a real fine show that took place in one of the years when they played some January

0:47.7	And then a great lazy light in into supplication filled with a nice job on that one.
