Good evening, John. Thanks for having me on the program, as always. The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency says that its mission is, I'm quoting,

to provide world-class geo-spatial intelligence and lead the global geo-int enterprise, and the subset of that is another quote,

the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geo-special information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth.

The entire Earth, I will add to that description. The nature of NGA's work has changed dramatically over the last 10 or 15 years, especially.

It wasn't that long ago that to get pictures of the Earth was a proprietary thing. Now we all have access to that information on our phones, thanks in part to the federal government and NGA in particular.
