Hello, and welcome to another edition of the Byron York Show, the No Chit Chat Podcast.

We like to get right into it, and what we're going to get into today is what you might call

Washington DC's Super Elite Super Spreader event.

And before I talk about this super elite super spreader event, I think we need to go back

a couple of years.

You may remember that during the first months of the COVID pandemic, which also coincided

with the 2020 presidential campaign, there were many, I mean, many news accounts that sought

to characterize then President Donald Trump's rallies sought to characterize them as Super

Spreader events.

The New Yorker published an article entitled, quote, Donald Trump's 2020 Super Spreader

campaign.

CNN published an article labeling Trump's kind of frantic last weeks of campaigning as

a, quote, potential super spreader sprint.

There was a columnist with the Chicago Sun Times who wrote a piece headlined, Trump

Super Spreader events are immoral and criminal and a group at Stanford, Stanford University.

Now they were economists, they weren't epidemiologists, they were economists, but they did

a study declaring that Trump events were super spreaders, and they helpfully published

the study a few days before the election to, you know, to try to cement the connection

between Donald Trump, his supporters and Super Spreader events of the, of the COVID virus.

So in the final month of the campaign, in addition to all this talk about the campaign

rallies, there were a lot of press reports that labeled the White House celebration of

the confirmation of Supreme Court, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, they, they had this event
