Today we have a letter from St. Faustina to Father Sopochco dated July 5, 1936. Krakow, 5th of July, 1936.

Most Reverend Father, I am very sorry that I dare to take up a moment of your time in reading this letter.

In my previous letter to you, Father, I wrote about my firm resolution which I was to make on the day of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

However, due to immense interior impulsions, I did this earlier.

I met with Father Andrash on Wednesday before Corpus Christi, and I told him about my urgency.

Father Andrash replied that, as regards this issue, you take the responsibility for yourself, sister.

I neither prohibit nor order you to leave. So if you feel this urgency, sister, then you may go.

I was very happy to hear this, and I decided to settle this finally with Mother General.

Yet, on the following day, that is, on Corpus Christi, shortly before Holy Mass,

God's presence suddenly left me, and darkness

dominated my soul. And this held me back a little, so I had second thoughts about leaving the congregation.

But afterwards I sought advice from Father Andrash, who assured me that this was not an obstacle to action. Nevertheless,

he recommended I ask your opinion about it, Father. Therefore, I sincerely ask what your view of

the matter is, Father. In spite of the fact that I no longer feel God's presence in my soul as

before, I have decided to continue

acting due to these great divine impulsions which are in the depth of my soul. I even intended
