Thank you for joining us as we continue with our year-long journey,

reading the diary of St. Maria Faustina Kovalska from beginning to end.

Today we read a letter from St. Faustina to Father Sopochko from June of 1936. Krakow, 2nd of June, 1936, Jesus, Marian Joseph.

Dearest Father, thank you very much for your letter which I received on the 19th of May.

I was immediately pleased with what I learned from this letter, and especially that the image is

already being venerated in public. As regards Miss Hemplova, she never turned up. When I first learned

from your letter that this lady was to visit me, I was a little worried, as every sister who goes

to the convent parlor must first

have the Superior's permission, because this is an external act. So I had to inform Mother Superior

about this. Mother Superior gave me permission to talk to her, and told me that she was not going

to interfere with God's will in any way. I am of the opinion that if you come across a similar soul, Father,

form her spiritually and prepare her for religious life there on the spot.

For as, on the one hand, I fervently desire to take action,

so on the other hand I fear that word may spread around too early, even though I regard

this person as an external and clear sign from heaven, since I have been praying for this.

Should this lady turn to you once again, Father, please comfort and reassure her that all these

things will soon come to be.

And now as regards those ruins about which you know, Father, it would be good if you remained

completely indifferent towards those people. For if it is God's will that something should be

there, then God will arrange the circumstances in such a way

that they themselves will ask you, Father, whether you would kindly consider taking possession of it,
