0:07.0	Today we tackle more of Solomon's Proverbs and Chapter 19 starts out with a lot of
0:17.2	wisdom on relationships including our relationship with God.
0:21.4	I'll open with a confession. Beside 19-2 in my Bible I've written TLC
0:26.8	exclamation mark in all caps in the margin. Those are my initials and my
0:31.1	nickname so it's just my way of trying to call my attention to the fact that I struggle with this, particularly the second half of the verse.
0:38.0	The whole verse says, Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.
0:45.0	I've told you before that one of my old roommates used to say I do things fast and wrong.
0:50.0	So when I read, whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way, that's got my name written all over it.
0:56.5	This is a reminder to me that I need to seek his guidance on things instead of just forging ahead on my own.
1:02.0	And the first half of the verse ahead on my own.
1:03.0	And the first half of the verse has a different level of beauty and truth to it.
1:07.2	It says, Desire without knowledge is not good.
1:11.3	If you were in a relationship with someone who said they loved you but didn't want to know anything about you,
1:15.0	wouldn't that seem really off to you?
1:18.0	Wouldn't it make you really skeptical about their so-called love?
1:21.0	It breaks my heart to see this kind of thing in the church, where we have a
1:25.3	relationship with God that is driven only by emotion and that has no actual knowledge of who
1:29.6	God is. That's why I'm so glad we're in the word here. Every day that you open up your
1:35.2	Bible and put your eyes on who God says he is, you're displaying the kind of
1:39.4	wisdom this verse calls us to. Verse 3 describes a common occurrence not just in the world verse his heart rages against the Lord. Have you seen this happen or maybe this has even
