Heavenly Father, thank you for your mercies that are new today. Thank you for the breath in our lungs. We thank you so much, Lord, that you are for us, that you are here with us, that you're not against us, and that you are ready to encourage us today through the reading of your word. We are so grateful, Lord, that we have this daily manna to be able to eat from, to be able to strengthen us, to nourish us, to give us all the answers that we need. Every question that we ask, it's right here that we will find truth, that we will find guidance, that we will find wisdom.

And we know, Lord, that the beginning of wisdom is fearing you, first and foremost. And so we just

humble ourselves before you today in holy reverence, seeing and understanding who you are.

We never want to lose sight of that,

Lord.

Sometimes we can try to bolster ourselves up so much and try to be so bold that we forget,

Lord, that we are your creation created for you.

So thank you for that reminder today.

Please forgive us of our sins, anything that we have done that has not been pleasing

to your heart. And I just pray, Lord, that you will restore our hearts today, wash them clean,

make us white as snow, clean our hands to God. And I just pray that there won't be anything that is

keeping us from being able to just come freely before you. And we also pray that there's nothing

that is hindering our prayers because we need

you. And we need you to hear our cries, Lord. You'll never turn your back on us and you'll never forsake us. But there may be a little restraint required so that we fully depend on you. And so I just pray that we don't give up in that time. And I pray also that you help us to forgive others, Lord, who have sinned against us.

Don't lead us into temptation, but delivers from evil.

For yours is the kingdom and power and glory forever.

We pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
