Michael has gone to Belize. It's a small piece of Central America.

If you look it up on a map, you're going to have to get a magnifying

glass out because it's very small. About 400,000 people there. It does have a

great model, Land of the Free. And Michael has just come from Panama City where he updates us

routinely on what is happening at the Darien Gap that is the 60 miles or so of triple canopy jungle that used to be extremely dangerous

and intimidating.

Not so much anymore.

Used to be, when we started reporting with you at the Darien Gap in 21.

It was exceedingly dangerous.

I recall you talking to center front, the Border Patrol, and the

estimate was 10% of the people who started from Colombia didn't make it to Panama. They

were dead in the jungle somewhere. Impossible to find them. I remember one

young man who was out there for something like 22 days taking him that long to get

through and he was left for dead and he finally showed up in Panama.

That was the story for us. Danger, danger, danger. No more danger. No more danger.

I remember you showing you talking on air about a log that you had seen that showed the several hundred people coming through from many different countries, no single country

dominating, no more. Now it's dominated by Venezuela for example, always in the
