Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Genesis 37, verse 21.

Joseph's older brothers were done with him. He had been their father's favorite for long enough. He had shared his self-aggrandizing

dreams with them one too many times, and now they were ready to kill him and throw his body in a pit.

However, we know Joseph didn't die because he ended up in Egypt. So how was his life saved? With the

help of his oldest brother, Ruben. The scriptures tell us that

Ruben, quote, delivered him out of their hands and said, let us not kill him. Ruben stood up for Joseph,

even when he had nine other brothers standing against him. Ruben truly stood alone that day.

Hopefully you and I won't need to stop someone from being killed, but we might

need to stand alone. When gossiping starts and you know what's wrong, will you dare to stand

alone? When a movie is turned on and you feel the spirit leave, will you dare to stand alone?

When someone starts criticizing the church and no one else speaks up, will you dare to stand alone?

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is, dare to stand alone.
