Hello, welcome to Big Picture Monday. My name is Callie Black here with all the context you need to totally rock this week's Come Follow Me readings. This week is March 9th through the 15th, and we are studying Genesis chapters 37 through 41. And the first thing you

might be asking if you are a detail-oriented person is, wait, did we skip chapters? And the answer is,

yes, for the first time this year, we are skipping chapters. And let me just give you a little

pep talk here. For those of you who care, because some of you might be like, that's fine,

we can skip chapters. But for those of you whose brains are like, whoa, wait, what's going on here?

The Old Testament is so massive. We will not be studying every single chapter this year, not even close. In fact,

this first quarter is not an accurate representation of how the rest of the year will go.

Once we get into some of these historical and prophetic books and even the poetry books as well,

we're just cherry-picking kind of random chapters here and there.

I mean, they're being chosen with great wisdom. They're great chapters. But we are going to be

skipping a lot more than we are right now. We definitely read the most out of the first five

books in the Old Testament. So my first pet talk to you is get used to it. We skip a lot. But here's where I

will help you because I do like to connect stories together. And so anytime that we skip any

chapters, I'll give you a little summary here in Big Picture Monday. How does that

sound? You do not have to go back and read them, or you're welcome to if you want to, or it might

just depend on how big of the section is that we skipped, because that will vary as well. This one's

fairly short with just 34, 35, 36 are the chapters that we skipped. So let's start with that

right now. Let me give you a quick

overview of what we skipped in those chapters in Genesis. Rachel, remember Rachel is
