Summary

Aron welcomes Dan Gates to the podcast. Dan works with CRWM or Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management. They are one of the groups leading the charge against emotional wildlife regulation that have been plaguing Colorado as of late. As a 501c4, they operate as political advocacy group that have a direct line to the capitol and work with many of the other conservation groups that many of us are a part of. They discuss the past and present struggles that Colorado has had regarding wildlife regulation and the ballot based management decisions. Make sure you check out www.savethehuntcolorado.com and see what you can do to ensure the hunting and outdoor heritage continues for generations to come.

I've obviously recently moved out of Colorado and I'm fairly happy about that which this podcast will explain that a little bit better but

is the reintroduction of wolves, depending

on how you feel about that.

1:20.0

And then now they're trying to band Mountain Lion and Bobcat hunting and obviously the hounds as well.

1:28.8

So Dan, why don't you tell everyone what you're about what's going on and then we'll

Well it started a long time ago when we tried to do the very things that you left the state for and to try to keep people

1:46.8

apprised of what was going on and try to have an imprint on the landscape, some sort of a footprint. And so I'm the executive director for the

1:55.1

Coloradoans for responsible wildlife management. We started that organization back in

1:59.7

2016. We are a 501c4 organization, which means that we do political advocacy work like what's coming up with a ballot initiative and we also do public education as well.
