All right, so I've got Eric Bender with me and we're about to let the world know what we've been

0:16.4

Working on for quite a while. It's

0:20.1

I think the scale of 1 to 10 would have a in the ass has been it's definitely at the higher level

0:26.4

but everybody well everybody knows you but tell everybody what you're doing because I think people have the

0:32.0

idea sometimes that I do a lot more designing

0:34.7

than I do and I get credit for what you do a lot so never really know what you're doing here.

0:39.6

I make the gear pretty much the team sits down we decide the project that we want to

0:46.6

conquer or the problem that we want to attempt to solve and then I go geek out and do my nerd thing for, you know,

0:56.5

a couple weeks at a time and then start bringing back prototypes and then we improve and

1:05.0

sharpen the edge from there. Yeah, and this is, and we've got more than just the carbon frame coming out.

1:10.8

I don't want to go into all of that because there's like

1:13.2

different times or being released and I don't get in trouble for the

1:16.9

marketing team or nor to you. But with the carbon frame that was something

1:21.4

kind of backdating that I granted

1:24.9

gear probably the first carbon frame ever saw was under Patrick's table he had like just

1:29.1

sheets of carbon in stays things like that and I think had told me, and I may have looked it up,

1:35.0

Granite Gear was the first company to patent a type of a carbon frame, I think. But when I started working more with Patrick, that was when Cuyu came out with their carbon frame.

1:47.0

And that frame I broke a lot of, I know they've improved that since then, it was super flexible. But I was like the concept or, you know, carbon, I like carbon arrows.

1:59.0

The design was interesting with the Kuyu frame too because it had the two uprights for the loadlifter and even with as good as carbon could get, they were doing full sheet composite layup where they weren't adding any extra carbon, at least to my knowledge to the points and then it started breaking.

2:16.2

Yeah and obviously they've changed that you know since then and technology's come a long way and I

2:26.1

oh I started to look at when we were looking at carbon we were a spaceship or whatever satellite technology those the wings of you

2:32.0

know satellites or honeycomb carbon and then bow limbs carbon.
