We'll begin with this.

Pennsylvania State Police is searching for a 22-year-old suspect wanted for committing several crimes early Monday morning, including an attempted homicide in Delaware County.

According to police, investigators are searching for Zaki Austin of Philadelphia in connection with the crime spree.

Authorities say Austin broke into a home around 1 a.m.

where a man and a woman lived on Franklin Boulevard and Middletown Township, Delaware County.

Austin then fled after shooting a man inside the residence, according to police.

Neighbors say the victims are sweet people who are always keeping to themselves.

Investigators say the victim remains hospitalized, but no further information has been released.

Austin then reportedly drove to an Exxon station in West Goshen Township, Chester County.

It was caught on video approaching the clerk in demanding money right at about 2.15 a.m.

No shots were fired, but Austin allegedly got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the vehicle Austin was driving. A 2020 Chevy Malibu was carjacked in Philadelphia

earlier in the night. And detectives say his third stop was at a mini market on August

Avenue in Philadelphia. And that's where Austin is accused of pulling a gun on the store clerk,

but the clerk had a gun of his own and opened fire.

Investigators say that Austin ran abandoning its stolen vehicle, which was quickly impounded by Philadelphia Police.

Authorities do not believe that the suspect was hit by gunfire and remains on the loose.
