Good morning in the news this morning. New Jersey-based AC Moore announced it will close all of its more than 145 stores.

The company based in Berlin-Campton County is no longer taking online orders as of Monday, but will ship orders that have already been placed.

CEO Anthony Piper Now said, for over 30 years, our stores have been servicing the creative community with a vast selection of art and craft materials with one common focus, the customer.

I love A.C. Moore. We go probably maybe once a week or every other week at least. You know what? That's my craft store. I like it much better than some of the other ones. More than Michaels? I mean, it's kind of the same thing, isn't it? You know what? It was cheaper.

That's why I liked A.C. Moore was cheaper than you could get some of the same things. Michaels has a little more variety. Yeah, my wife would go to both. Michaels was closer, so we'd end up with Michaels more. That's what it is. Out of convenience, there's no A.C. more that's close to me. I would have to go case to the one in Delaware County near you or like, you know, if I was heading back to Bucks County, I would go to the one that's there.

We have one that's close to us. This sucks. Yeah. Yeah. This is a bummer for me.

You know what? People being out of, now, some of those people are going to be absorbed into the

Michaels, but it still, it sucks. There's a lot of stores to close. Yeah, I mean, to be honest with you, I couldn't tell you which one is, is closest. I, I, I just know it's a craft store. The craft store is next to the,

the, uh, the pet smart and the giant. I don't know if it's an A.C. Moore or Michaels. They're, they're, there's basically in my mind, they're the same exact thing. You know what? I don't even do really crafts, but I go, my wife gets so excited.

She walks around, and I'm like, she's buying, oh, look at these styrofoam balls.

I have, like, a closet filled with stuff from A.C. Moore and Michaels that like I pulled out a bag the other day and I'm like I wonder what I was going to make with these. Oh yeah. Same with Claire from the arts and crafts store. Oh this is for candles. Yeah. Okay. Oh we've got my daughter's really in art, so we're constantly buying

canvas and paints and bushes and all that stuff all the time. So are they going to have

like huge blowout sales then? You know what? I don't know. So unfortunately, prices have never been

lower? Given the headwinds facing many retailers in today's environment, it's made it very difficult

for us to operate and compete on a national level. Michael Kraft stores will assume the leases up to 40 AC Moore locations on the East Coast

and a distribution center.

Those 40 locations will remain open under the Michael's name in 2020, but the individual
