Good morning in the news this morning.

Heavy snow and wind shut down highways Tuesday in Colorado and Wyoming, prompting school closures in Nebraska and forced more than 1,000 travelers to sleep overnight in Denver's airport after hundreds of flights were canceled, just as the intense Thanksgiving week travel period went into high gear.

What a freaking nightmare.

Right. That storm headed next to South Dakota, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin,

and another storm in the Pacific Ocean was closing in on California, Oregon and Nevada making

for two early wintry storms. With a busy Thanksgiving holiday season on the way, the airport

officials say it could start to look like Denver's airport. A flight start getting canceled elsewhere.

AAA says more than 55 million travelers are taking to the roads and skies this holiday.

Americans are expected to venture out this holiday in near record numbers, they say.

Consumer spending remains strong thanks to increasing wages, disposable income and household wealth,

and travel remains one of the top priorities for the holiday season.

Did you guys see the security line in Denver yesterday?

Yes.

I mean, that's normally difficult.

Yeah.

It's one line that gets through that security line in Denver.

But yesterday it looked like a stadium.
