And today is Monday. It's November 12th. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning. In the news this morning, UPS trucks will be sitting idle today as their drivers walk off

of the job. That's because contract negotiations between UPS freight and its employees union have

reached an impasse. UPS cleared all of its shipments this week to ensure its network was completely

empty by Friday. 11,000 drivers who are represented by the Teamsters Union could be on strike today. Last

month, the union made demands that include wage increases, tighter restrictions, and

limits on subcontracting earnings, protection from dockwork and more. UPS countered with a final

offer which the union members began voting on last Wednesday. If it isn't approved, drivers

could go on strike today. Every five years, the two parties negotiate on a labor contract to apply to UPS freight drivers.

If they strike, it would be the first UPS strike since 1997 when 185,000 employees held a 16-day walkout.

I remember that one.

And, of course, they always come close to the holidays.

Close to, yeah, yeah.

Just to say, we're here. Look what we can do. So, yeah, so I guess we'll find out later today. That could be a big problem, though, because I made a lot of purchases last week. Well, you know, the problem in the problem facing UPS and all of them is that there are other carriers as well. But they have to look out of themselves.

But what happened? So if something is, I mean, so I did make a couple of... They burned the things that they can't send. No, no. Stop. Like, I made a couple of online purchases. So does it just sit then? No. Or will it go to FedEx or United States Postal Service? That I don't know. I would assume they'd find alternate routes of shipping it, you know?

To get to, yeah.

They can't hold packages hostage. Right, right, right. I guess the companies would ship it differently then. Right. Okay. So we'll find out later today. The Liberty Medal is given to those who show courage and strive to achieve liberty for all people across the country. Sunday night, was given to a former first couple. The National Constitution Center honored former president George W. Bush

and former first lady Laura Bush for their work with veterans on Veterans Day.

For my part, to return the salute of such people was the highest of all the privileges that came with the office of president. And because the Liberty Medal is presented to Laura and me on Veterans Day, we will cherish it. All that more, said former President George W. Bush. They're looking, I mean, they're holding up really well. They look good. They look really good. Yeah, absolutely. I think the best thing you can do is stop being president, right? Yeah. You gained back to 30 years you lost while you were president. Can you play the clip again?

Are my testicles black? God, I miss W. Man, my testicles black. W. The Bush's military service initiative is credited with offering employment transition and overcoming physical. Are my testicles black? And mental wounds of war. Just won't let it go. There you go, no. He did a lot. He did a lot. You know, he got this medal. He got this award. You know, absolutely. And well deserved. It was good to see them. There were protesters who were shouting loud enough to be heard throughout the ceremony, and one protester had to be escorted out of the ceremony.
