All right, today is Friday. It is November 1st. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning. In the news this morning, in Chicago, a seven-year-old girl was out trick-or-treating in a bumblebee costume when she was critically injured after being shot. The girl was hit by a stray bullet in the upper chest area. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and is now fighting for her life. A 30-year-old man was shot in the left hand and taken to a nearby hospital in good condition. The shooting occurred early Halloween evening as the girl was walking with her family and other

trick-or-treaters along the street in the little village neighborhood.

Police said a group of males were chasing another male along the street when someone in the group

fired at the intended victim.

It was not immediately known if the wounded man was with the girl or was one of the target,

was one targeted by the shooters.

Police have no description of the gunman and no one is in custody right now.

Police said that there is surveillance camera near the crime scene, which they're hoping to

obtain the video and help them find the shooter.

Severe storms toppled trees pulled down power lines across the area and sparked tornado

warnings across the Delaware Valley.

Septa suspended its Lansdale-Doylestown and Warminster lines service early Friday morning due to the weather-related issues and down trees and down pico wires.

The Nars Town High Speed Line service has suspended between the Radnor Station and Nars Town Transportation Center until further notice because of weather-related issues.

The line will operate between 69th Street and Radner Station.

The emergency manager director of Delaware County believes a tornado touchdown and damaged two dozen homes on the Chelsea Court and Thornberry Township.

A shelter has been set up at the Glen Mills Elementary School.

Crews spent more than an hour trying to get an elderly couple after a large tree fell onto their home in Ambler, Montgomery County. The couple was asleep at about 1130 when a massive tree came crashing down on the back of their house, which was on the 100 block of Tennis Avenue. Family members called for help saying that the couple, a 70-year-oldold and 80-year-old were trapped on the second floor.

Firefighters had to use a crane to help rescue them.
