Good morning. In the news this morning, authorities rushed to evacuate low-lying areas and set up shelters as extremely dangerous Hurricane Willa, with winds of 145 miles per hour, headed toward a Tuesday afternoon landfall along a stretch of Mexico's Pacific coast dotted with high-rise resort, surfing beaches, and fishing villages.

Farther south, meanwhile, Mexican officials reported late Monday that there had been 12 deaths related to heavy rains and tropical storm Vincente.

Willa briefly reached Category 5 strength and then weakened to a category 4, but the U.S. National Hurricane Center warned that it still would likely bring life-threatening storm surge, wind and rainfall to parts of

west-central and southwestern Mexico. Workers taped up windows in hotels and officials ordered

schools closed in the low-lying region where towns sit in the middle of farmlands tucked between

the sea and lagoons. Officials say 7 to 8,000 people were being evacuated from the areas.

The U.S. Hurricane Center warned that Willa could

bring 6 to 12 inches of rain with up to 18 inches of rain in some spots. Wow. That does not sound good.

Low-lying areas between lagoons and the sea. Yeah, exactly. That does not sound good. Wow.

Flash flooding and landslides are possible in the mountainous areas. Farther to the south, a weakening tropical storm. Vicente was expected to dissipate soon, but it is still causing heavy rainfall and caused dangerous flooding in southern and southwestern Mexico. Officials say that seven adults and five children have lost their lives to drownings and mudslides. Police are searching for a man who they say failed to appear for trial on rape and sex assault charges Monday morning in Doyles Town.

48-year-old Shannon Westmoreland is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old while he was a youth football coach with the Ben Salem Rambler's Athletic Association in 2005.

Westmoreland is also

charged with sexually assaulting another child from the age of four until she was 10 plus a third

child in 1999 when she was six years old. Police accused him of sexually assaulting her again in 2011

when she was 18 years old. Prosecutors say the bail was revoked and a bench warrant has been issued for Westmoreland of

Westchester. Anyone with information should call 911. I really don't know why they let them, why they

post bail or why they even, you know, set bail for these people. Why are you allowing them to continue to

walk around? And there's a high level of recidivism. The record mega millions drawing worth $1.6 billion is tonight. The semi-weekly jackpot has been

growing since July 24th, causing a frenzy at many convenience stores across the United States
