Good morning. In the news this morning, a Mannyunk restaurant is being accused of illegally dumping waste into the public sewage system.

The owner of Hot Pot says the pipes in the restaurant were clogged and that employees were dumping only mop and dishwater into the sewer.

But a Manny Yunk resident took photos and video of the employees dumping a substance down the sewer on a couple of occasions since the restaurant opened less than two weeks ago.

It appears that they don't have anywhere to dispose of their garbage. So what they do is they pile it into the alley, they wash it down, and they're dumping the garbage into the sewer, the resident says. Regardless of what it is, you're not allowed to take your garbage from the restaurant and bring it out to the public sidewalk and pour it out on the curb. City of Philadelphia said it is investigating.

The water department took samples from the sewer to see what exactly is being dumped.

You should not be putting anything into the sewer other than rainfall.

The water department spokesman said anything else is considered illegal dumping.

Officials confirmed the kissing bug has made it to Delaware.

According to the CDC, a family from Kent County says an insect bite bit their child's face back in July of 2018 while watching TV. A window air conditioning unit was located in the child's bedroom where the bite occurred. After testing, the insect was confirmed to be the kissing bug. What is the kissing bug? So apparently it's a blood-sucking insect that feeds on animals and humans, and they're known to bite humans in the face. Oh! Yeah. That's the preferred point of biting that they go for the face? On a human. I've never heard of this demon. Well, because we don't have them here. That's why. And that's why this is a little concerning. If this photo on our monitor is one of those, it looks, it looks kind of like the spotted lantern fly. It looks a little bit like that. It does. Interesting. You got to see the, it's more red, like when it's, right? When it's flying, yeah. Holy hell how it looks similar to that okay the discovery in

so the bug targets your face and gives you a deadly disease yeah deadly diarrhea apparently

so where do they does it give a point of origin, Kathy, of these bugs?

Yeah, so they say that most people who with Chaga's disease become infected in rural areas

of Mexico, Central America, and South America.

But according to the CDC, the Delaware family reported no recent travel outside of the local

area, so they're not sure.

So symptoms of the disease include fever, fatigue, body aches, headache, rash, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and vomiting.

But other symptoms can include enlarged heart failure, altered heart, rate, or rhythm, and cardiac arrest.
