Good morning in the news this morning. A Pennsylvania man who was wanted on attempted murder charges was killed after opening fire on two fugitive task force officers in Baltimore on Wednesday. The officers

won a Baltimore County detective and the other detective in the city of Baltimore. We're both

assigned to the capital area regional fugitive task force and were trying to serve a warrant out of

Pennsylvania for attempted murder, said U.S. Marshal Service spokesman.

The suspect is 33-year-old Michael Marullo of Scranton, who was wanted on a slew of charges,

including attempted homicide. The suspect has not officially been identified by police in Baltimore.

On Tuesday night, Marulo allegedly discharged his weapon during a verbal argument on the 1,300

block of Summit Avenue and Lower Chichester Township. No one was injured, but U.S. Marshals received information that Marula was in Baltimore

and tipped off investigators. On Wednesday, authorities in Maryland found him in a shootout ensued.

The suspect was fatally shot, but police haven't released information on who shot him.

One officer was shot in the leg, the other in the stomach. One of the officers had surgery

and both are awake, but still in very serious condition. A Pennsylvania man was charged with DUI

for the seventh time after driving the wrong way on the media bypass in Delaware County, according

to Upper Providence Township Police. When was this? It was a little while ago, but Kate,

it was, I think, on Tuesday. But Case, don't worry, he's from Berks County. He was just in Delaware County driving. Authority said this is the case. It's another blatant example of why Deanna's law, which aims to crack down on repeat DUI offenders needs to pass in the state. Police said the Berks County man identified as 41-year-old Johnny Paul Martinka.

The third was driving the wrong way on the heavily traveled section of Route 1 where traffic

often goes well beyond the posted speed limit of 55 miles per hour.

I mean, I was on that road four times, four different times on Saturday, you know, and every

single time I had at least one trial with me. Like people like this guy, they pissed me off so bad. Like, dude, get your chest together, man. It could have been a disaster. But fortunately, so there was an officer that was right there, and that's kind of why it was diverted. But at about 9.30 on Tuesday, 930 in the evening, police said the driver of the Ford F-250 was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. Upper Providence police officers, Scott L.A., happened to be entering the northbound ramp when he saw the truck coming his way. He activated his emergency lights and siren placed the vehicle in a diagonal blocking position, and the vehicle coming towards him had to stop abruptly. Police said Martika, the driver of the Ford then attempted to get away, sidest wiping the officer's car, but another patrol car was blocking him from going any further. I'm trying to think of where he got on. Yeah, exactly. Because we used to be there all the time. That's where Y100 back in the day is located off of that. Yeah, so did he get on at 252? Is that what he was saying? No, that didn't say where he got on. Okay. Police said that he was so heavily intoxicated. He thought that he was in Berks County trying to get to his welding job. Whoa. Oh, my God. I wonder how this happened. He said seven times, right? So, yeah, so this is his seventh DUI in 10 years. So years ago, a female comedian that was an upcomer when I just started doing stand-up, she was on the Long Island Expressway, head-on collision with a drunk guy going the wrong way. And you find that this guy had been arrested for the same thing in the same DUI and three times going the wrong way on a main throw. Well, why is this guy not in jail?
