Good morning in the news this morning.

A winter storm warning is in effect for the Philadelphia area yesterday and last night. The snow accumulated quickly early this morning. A winter storm warning is in effect for the Philadelphia area yesterday and

last night. The snow accumulated quickly. Early this morning, sleet and freezing rain arrived,

making for a tricky ride on the roads. If you don't have to travel and you can stay home,

that's what's being recommended. State officials are asking employers to allow their employees to

do telework and work from home today.

Road conditions are continuing to deteriorate as we await the second round of this storm to arrive.

The sleet we're experiencing right now will quickly switch over to snow by late morning.

The snow will be steadier and heavier during the afternoon.

South Jersey and Delaware will see rain and sleet during the morning, possibly changing back to snow during the afternoon.

Now, as far as projected snowfall totals go, far western counties can expect 12 to 18 inches, mainly north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The 95 corridor will likely see 8 to 12 inches.

South Jersey seeing 4 to 8 and coastal areas 1 to 4.

They're saying those will likely be washed away by rain.

There may still be some lingering snow showers and flurries into Tuesday as well.

Philadelphia remains under a snow emergency as another round of wintry mix hits the region this morning.
