Good morning in the news this morning.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolfe issued a disaster emergency as a major winter storm continues to dump snow across the region. More than 20 inches of snow has fallen in some areas of the Commonwealth since the storm started on Sunday night. In Lehigh Valley, plow trucks were everywhere. They're saying they're doing the best they can to clear the main roads. In Montgomery County, crews were managing a mixture of snow and sleet, making the roads icy.

At points Monday, plow trucks switched over to spreading salt and brine to keep the roads from icing over.

Motorists are urged to avoid travel again today if possible, but if travel is necessary, use caution, reduce speeds, and be aware of the changing weather conditions.

PennDOT implemented the Tier 1 of the Commonwealth's Weather Event Vehicle

Restriction Plan on all interstates in the Philadelphia area, which means tractor trailers

or any vehicle towing a trailer, motorhomes, buses, and motorcycles are not permitted on the

Skuyl-95-2-95, the Blue Route, N676.

The Tier 1 and speed restriction will remain in place until the conditions warrant their removal.

And I believe all vehicles have to do in-home learning today, correct?

Is that to do?

A state of emergency will remain in effect for New Jersey as well on Tuesday due to the winter storm.

Governor Phil Murphy announced with plenty of snow already and more expected to arrive.

Dangerous travel conditions are expected to continue throughout the garden state, he said.

Heavy snow, coastal flooding, and high winds are expected to continue across the state and into tomorrow,

Governor Murphy said on Monday afternoon.

I urge all of our residents to follow

weather-related guidance and stay off of the roads in order to allow access for essential workers
