In the news this morning, the parents of a nine-month-old were arrested after the child

overdosed on fentanyl.

Ben Salem Police said Tuesday. According to police, officers were called to the home in the 2000 block of Finch Drive on January 24th at about 10.50 in the evening for a report of a child in cardiac arrest. When officers arrived, they found multiple medication bottles throughout the apartment.

There was also an empty bottle of acetphetaminein with codeine found in the baby swing, police said.

The child tested positive for fentanyl.

Two doses of Narcan was administered.

What normally brings an adult male back did not work on the child.

Authorities said that they then had to administer a narcan drip because of the high dose of fentanyl that the child ingested.

Dear God. Yeah. The child is listed in stable condition at St. Christopher's Hospital. The parents, Maria Dolar and Michael Picardy, were both at home at the night of the overdose. Police say they were uncooperative and refused to provide any explanation to police. Both of them have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and they remain jailed at the Bucks County Correctional

Facility. They could serve as much as five to ten years said Bucks County DA Matt Wynetrob. The

baby's urine tested positive for fentanyl and dangerous and addictive drug. Police say they found

empty pill bottles throughout the apartment and within the baby's reach. The bottles were labeled with prescriptions from at least six different doctors. As disturbing as this case is, it's not the first of its kind, Wyn Trow said. This is the third or fourth case we've had to deal with like this, assuring that in some of the cases, the babies have died from the overdose. Okay, so I'm confused because nine months is very, very young for even for a baby to get a hold of this stuff. Is the baby getting it through the breast milk? Like, no, they said that they got it from, oh, from the, no, they said that the bottles and stuff were in, in reach of the baby. So the baby was eating, yeah, they probably ate it. Yeah, yeah, their mouths and, you know. That's what they believe happened because the point was made that there were pill bottles all around the house. Okay. All over the floor. All right. Because, I mean, that stuff is, I mean, it's lethal to full-grown adults. Right. And nine months old, I'm surprised that the baby line out. what everybody's saying. Yeah. Please say the nine-month-old girl will likely be placed into the custody of Bucks County.

Weintraub called the EMTs who revived the baby with Narcan to thank them for saving her life. Philadelphia police are on the hunt for a suspect accused of raping a woman in Love Park over the weekend. It happened at 5.20 a.m. on January 25th when police say the 41-year-old woman was walking through the popular park after getting off the train at 15th street in Center City. Police say the suspect came up behind the woman, punched her several times, knocked her to the ground and raped her in the park. Witnesses heard the victim screaming and they called 911. Upon arrival to the scene, police spotted the suspect, but he was able to get away.
