Good morning. In the news this morning, NBA superstar LeBron James, has broken his silence on the death of his friend Kobe Bryant and promised to carry on his legacy. The foreword for the Los Angeles Lakers took to Instagram on Monday night one day after Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash along with his daughter and seven others. I'm not ready, but here I go. James started his post. Man, I'm sitting here trying to write something for this post, but every time I try, I begin to cry again, just thinking about you, niece, Gigi, and the friendship bond brotherhood we had. James went on to say that he heard Bryant's voice Sunday morning before he left Philadelphia to head back to Los Angeles, and he had no idea it would be the last conversation they would ever have. He went on to promise Bryant that he would continue his legacy. You mean so much to us all here, especially at Laker Nation, and it's my responsibility to put this on my back and keep it going. Please give me the strength from the heavens above and watch over me. Bryant's final tweet was a nod to James after he passed him in the NBA's third highest score of all time.

The NBA icon was one of nine people killed when a helicopter crashed in rough terrain in Calabasas Sunday morning.

The crash killed his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, two coaches at schools in Orange County, the wife and daughter of one of those coaches, the pilot, and a mother and a daughter.

The crash remains under investigation. Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect accused of stealing a backpack

with jewelry worth up to $500,000, belonging to a former Philadelphia 76er star Alan Iverson.

Oh, is in a backpack? Yeah, it was in a backpack. The incident happened Monday morning around

1030 at the Sofetel Hotel located on South 17th Street. Stores has confirmed that the suspect, well, so, okay, so yes, it was in a backpack. I heard one report that the person took the backpack, but then another one saying that he took the jewelry out of the backpack. Okay. But it was, they're saying, worth up to $500,000. Iverson was not present at the time of

the theft. The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man standing six feet, six feet tall, and it was a

thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, red shirt, dark-colored pants,

and black and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 215-6-86 tips.

President Donald Trump is scheduled to host a Keep America Great campaign rally at the Jersey Shore tonight.

Summer up, set up with tents and lawn chairs already outside of the Wildwood Convention Center on the 4,500 block of the boardwalk.

The city of Wildwood is preparing for a large number of visitors and adding

security. Mayor Pete Byron said that he expects tens of thousands of people to show up for the scheduled

event. The rally will take place in New Jersey's second congressional district represented by

Republican Representative Jeff Van Drew. Van Drew switched from the Democratic Party to the GOP in

December of 2019 and pledged his underlying, I'm sorry, support for President Trump. Some supporters will likely be turned away as the Wildwood Convention Center only hold 7,500 people. The doors will open at 3 o'clock this afternoon. And like I said, there's already people in line. 7,500 is the max? Is the max? Wow, I thought it was more. Yeah. So they're saying they've actually set up TVs outside, so they're saying for the people who don't get in, they'll at least be able to watch. But the rally begins at 7 o'clock. So doors open at 3. Rally begins at 7. There'll be closures along the Garden State Parkway between Atlantic City and Wildwood after the president arrives. Wildwood is typically quiet this time of year, but officials are saying that restaurants are open and hotels are booked because of people down there for this convention.

All right. The Sixers will return to the court tonight with the game. The Sixers are tied with the Indiana Pacers for sixth place in the Eastern Conference, 10 and a half games behind the Milwaukee Bucks and two and a half games behind the Toronto Raptors who are in second. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 o'clock. The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the LAClippers scheduled for tonight at the Staples Center has been postponed.
