This series sits at what three one three one Florida leads going into Toronto for a game five which I didn't think would happen after a game three but Toronto ended up winning in Florida and game four.

All right. So take me through it. Where are we standing right now? You're going to take Florida. I'm assuming we're going to take Florida plus one forty five.

Okay. And it is juiced to that level because it's in Toronto. Toronto's a good team back against the wall back against the wall.

Finally you saw some production from their core four guys in game four but what still exists is what I believe to be an important factor in the series is the Toronto fan base and the Toronto crowd.

What I mean by that is Florida in the high danger chances they're nerdy metric of the day is high danger chances for their fourth of remaining playoff teams Toronto ninth not great but even worse high danger goals what they produce what they actually convert into actual points on the board.

Florida second Toronto 15th out of the 16 playoff teams that exist in this playoffs and that's it as a percentage showed has nothing to do with you know the eliminated teams being gone.

What this means though and what I've seen time and time again in Toronto you didn't have to watch much of any hockey game in Toronto to notice if a goal get scored on Toronto be an earlier late an important goal being scored.

I've never seen a building more deflated than Toronto's building after a goal get scored it's like somebody turns off the light switch and everybody just gets quiet the only people you hear from are the Florida fans which are kind of priced out I mean that requires travel across the border that requires buying a ticket I think that might be the most.

Expensive I had to do some research that might be the most expensive ticket I'm almost positive it is because when Toronto comes to Detroit I know that a lot of fans come here because it's an easier cheaper ticket to get than it is in Toronto because I mean other than the raptors they're the only show in town and let's be honest Toronto fans care way more about the people leaves them they do the NBA team.

The terrific hockey market they always sell out they sold out when they were dog shit they sold out when they were amazing when they are they're currently have an amazing squad they sell out every game and in the playoffs I mean that building is rockets from beginning to the first goal scored by the other team essentially well because they're almost like waiting for the failure to happen and when it does it's like I know this well being a Michigan state fan I know that like you know the skies eventually going to fall no matter how good it is I mean it's it's similar to Lions fan that there's scar

right I mean Lions fans have no playoff success and really neither do the Toronto Maple Leafs up to this point since like the 90s but I mean it's the second that something goes bad I notice the same thing in Lions fans if you're local you'll notice the same thing and the same thing in the Toronto Maple Leafs is the second something goes bad they like hope here we go again yeah we're fucked that's what I say it's always that that's always the mentality and God bless him for you know still investing emotionally but I that's why the nerdy metrics come into play.

Here is the second something goes bad in that building I feel like all the air will be sucked out of the balloon and Florida will have a significant advantage Toronto can work from behind I've seen them do it before in the series but man it's there's something something fascinating about when that building experiences some sort of adversity it's just it's

harder to overcome than any other building in hockey you know I'm such a sick person that I'll watch this game tonight just to see the disappointment in people's face I don't know why I do have it I get so much

enjoyment out of seeing people be disappointed maybe it's because I've been disappointed a lot of my life in this set or the other thing but
