To have this opportunity to be together again.

Gather around the global campfire like we do every day.

It's so nice to come back here every day and I'm glad that we have this place to come back to

We come here every day to know we're not alone, but we we come here primarily to let the word of God speak for itself, a day by day step

by step path through the Bible, all the way, all of it. So we're in September and so we're well

into it. We're in the book of Ecclesiasties right now,

or listening to the teacher,

listening to the reflections

on an incredibly accomplished life with no limits and the reflections back on what

actually mattered and it's sobering. It flies in the face of so much of the stuff that gets thrown at us every day like you only live once like grab it grab it and take it go for it do what you

got to do protect you and yours do whatever it takes. Yeah, well, the king here, King Solomon,

he did everything.

Nothing was off limits and he observed the world around him very very keenly and the heart of mankind

we may have different traditions and cultures wherever we are. We may be in different time periods, but the heart of mankind is after the same things it ever was, which is why the

Bible is still so relevant to us now because it's not how to hack your life.

It's about how to see who you truly are and how it is that we might become whole again.

And that's not going to happen with us lying to ourselves about everything.

And so Ecclesies comes with a sobering view of the

paths that we take and we have taken quite a path into Ecclesiasties.
