I am Brian.

It is wonderful to be here with you today,

as we gather again taking the next step forward on our

journey and the old estimate as we move through it has moved us into the deeper recesses of our hearts.

We've gone through Joe, we've gone through Ecclesiasties.

But we've also gone through stories like Esther, so we've been kind of like up and down peaks and

valleys moving through our hearts today is no different actually Actually, today and tomorrow

we'll be reading a book that will take us

into completely different territory.

This is known as The Song of Solomon,

or the Song of Solomon or the song of songs and so that's that's a complete

departure from where we've where we've just been the song of Solomon is pretty short, it's a poem, and it's part of a grouping of books known as

wisdom literature.

And in this love poem, this song of songs, will discover that human sexuality is actually

in the Bible and part of the biblical narrative.

But it's a poem and so poetry is something that we're allowed to interpret it.

Bring on board, allow it to bring to us what

it brings up in us, and so there are layers.

If we're looking just literally at the poem, the book is a story of passionate

consummation of love between a man and a woman who are absolutely and utterly lost in each other and it stands on its own as
