Today is the 13th day of October.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian.

It is wonderful to be here with you today as we greet a brand new shiny sparkly week

Throw it open step through the threshold together into it

It's out in front of us and try to remind myself of this every time we hit a

new week try to remind us all it's out in front of us. All those choices, all those thoughts, all the

words, all the actions. They're out in front of us and we're going to choose them.

And they're going to tell a story.

The story of this week.

The story of who we are.

The story of what we believe.

And we'll take our thoughts and our words and our

actions to tell that story. Any one of those things by itself isn't going to be the truth. It's going to be what we do and what we say,

not just what we say. So let's choose wisely. One of the wise decisions that we make every day is to show

up for each other here around the global campfire because we've shown up here for the same

purpose to let the Bible speak for itself and to invite the Holy Spirit to use what is in the scriptures to give us advice and

counsel and comfort as we face the choices that we will face in the coming days.

So it is a delight and an honor to be here together with you today as we take the next step forward.

We will read from the Christian Standard Bible this week and working our way through the book of

Jeremiah in the Old Testament. Then when we get to the New Testament we will begin

another of Paul's letters, this one known as Second Thessalonians, and we'll talk about
