It is great to be here with you today.

Another day around the global campfire together, and I'm grateful.

We have a beginning and an end that we have reached as we move into this fourth quarter of the year.

We will begin the Book of Jeremiah today,

and we will end Paul's letter to the Philippians today.

So a bit of transition going on,

which will happen quite a bit as we move forward

in the rest of this year.

So we finished the book of Isaiah yesterday, one of the longest books in the Bible,

and we're going into another longer book in the Bible, actually the longest book in the Bible. So the longest book in the Bible.

So the longest book in the Bible by chapter

would be the book of Psalms.

But the longest book in the Bible in word count

is what we're about to read. The book of Jeremiah. And Jeremiah is another book of

prophecy, but very different than the book of Isaiah. It's very intriguing and this is in part due to just how much of an

inner look we get at what's going on inside of Jeremiah. He's very authentic. So he's committed to obeying

God and he's a prophet, but he doesn't want to be and he doesn't like everything he's supposed to do at all.

And there are times that we see that he's so frustrated with the whole thing,

what he's got to do and that no one's listening, that he just wants to throw
