It's fantastic to be here with you today. As we gather again, take another step forward we are quite close to finishing

another month we'll do that before this week is over hard to believe but day by day step by step this is how it happens.

So we are in the book of second Samuel as our journey continues.

A lot of upheaval.

We have a king on the throne. His name is David. He's the king of Israel. He's done some really atrocious things that have

happened.

So let's continue the story, 2 Samuel, Chapter 14, verse 1 through 15, verse 22. Joab realized how much the king long to see Absalom.

So he sent for a woman from Tacoma who had a reputation for great wisdom. He said to her, to her,

pretend you are in mourning.

Wear morning clothes and don't put on lotions.

Act like a woman who has been mourning for the dead for a long time.

Then go to the king and tell him the story I am about to tell you.

Then Joab told her what to say.

When the woman from Tukoa approached the king she... And Joab told her what to say.

When the woman from Tacoa approached the king,

she bowed with her face to the ground in deep respect and cried out,

Oh king, help me!

What's the trouble?

The king asked.

Alas, I am a widow, she replied.

My husband is dead.
