Today is the 21st day of May. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we gather again around the global can fire.

It's good to be here with everybody.

Glad that we can take the next step forward.

It's a big step here. Big step of transition. We've been

following in the Old Testament through First Samuel the life of Israel's first

king, King Saul.

We've learned a lot about King Saul, and Saul shows us a lot about ourselves.

We also met this man named David, who also shows us a lot about ourselves.

And these men are intertwined, but on completely different paths.

So has been paranoid about David really bad.

Let's try to kill him a lot of times.

David has had to flee from Israel and become a Philistine,

and so there's a battle about to happen between the Philistines and the Israelites.

God has left King Saul so he has no answers.

And he goes to a spiritist, a medium, and conjures a Samuel from the dead who informs Saul that

the battle will be lost and he will be dead by this time tomorrow. That's where we left off. Let's

see what happens. First Samuel chapters 29, 30, and 31 today.

The Philistines gathered for battle at Effac, while the armies of Israel camped near the spring of Jezrael.

The armies of the Philistines were marching forward by hundreds and by thousands, and David

and his men were marching in the rear with King Eichish.

The Philistine General said,
