Today is the 20th day of May. Welcome to the daily audio Bible. I'm frying.

This is great to be here with you today. Let's move into our work week, settle into the rhythm that will carry us through the week.

And part of that rhythm is here, around the global campfire, a safe space to take that next step forward. So let's lock arms and hearts

and put one foot in front of the other and take another step.

Working through the book of First Samuel at this point,

watching very closely the intermingling of lives with King Saul and this man who will be King, his name is David,

if he can stay alive because King Saul's trying to kill. We're watching these stories develop as we kind of look into our own lives

at the paths that these two men take

because we get a really good long glimpse with a lot of detail in the scriptures

and that's a lot for us to learn. So today 1st Samuel chapter 26, 27, and 28.

Then the Ziffites went to Saul at Gibia and told him David was hiding on the heights of

Hekala, which is a cross from Jeshimon.

Saul again gathered 3,000 seasoned Israelite soldiers and he went down to the wilderness of

Ziff to find David.

They camped by the road on the hill of Hakala across from Jeshamon, but David and his

men were hidden in the wilderness.

When he learned that Saul was coming after him, David sent out some spies who discovered

Saul was certainly added again.

Then David went to Saul's camp and found where Saul slept, as well as

Abner, son of Nir, General of the Army, surrounded by their men. David looked over the

situation and spoke to a himoeek the Hittites and to Abishai son of

Zoriah, the brother of Joe Ab.
