Today is the 12th day of May. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today.

Here around the global campfire yet again, like we do every day. gather together in a cozy, safe space, and move forward in life

and in the scriptures together.

I feel like I've been saying it most every day.

I'm grateful.

I think that's, that's like the best word I've got. I'm grateful to be here with you today.

I'm grateful that we have a place to be together today. I'm grateful for the scriptures. I'm open. I hope

you're open to whatever they bring up, because we're just going through them all

and letting them kind of hit us, however they do, and inviting the Holy Spirit to make that happen.

And so, let's take the next step forward.

We're working through the book of first Samuel at this point.

And now we have taken the first step into a complete new era in the story that began back in January

when we met this man named Abram, who became Abraham,

and we've been telling the story of his family ever since when this family has gone through

a lot, but they've also become a massive nation, a lot of people now.

And they've been divided into tribes based on the lineage.

They've gone through some pretty tough centuries.

And they've decided that they need to organize.

And they need to organize themselves around a king.

And so a king they have, his name is Saul.

First Samuel chapter is 12 and 13 today.
