Today is the 15th day of March. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It's great to be here with you today. I'm kind of shaking off the cobwebs. I've got my coffee here, but hasn't, like, gotten into my veins yet.

Shaking it off. How are you today? It is good to be here. I am grateful. Deeply grateful that we can gather.

And one of our weeks together. Well done. Very well done. We've got some drama going on

in the Bible. The children of Israel obviously now they're back in the wilderness and they're not

going to be leaving the wilderness for a while, like for a generation.

And there have been some battles.

They are roaming around near borders and so armies are coming out, but they are attacking

and getting defeated, and so Israel now has some land that they can be in, but they have freaked the Moabites out.

And so King Balak of Moab has summoned for a man named Balam to come to Moab and curse these people, the children of Israel, curse them so that he can

attack and defeat them because he's scared of them.

And Balam hasn't been able to go, but then God has told him he can go, but he can only speak what God tells him to speak.

And so that's where we pick up the story.

Numbers, Chapter 22, verse 21 through 23, verse 30 today.

Baylon got up in the morning,

saddled his donkey,

and went with the Moabite officials.

But God was very angry when he went,

and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him.

Palem was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn

sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Palem beat it to get it back on the road.

Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards with the walls

on both sides.
